Re-Write The Story

Did you know that of all the children's books published in the UK in 2018, only 7% of them featured Black, Asian or Mixed Ethnicity characters? And only 4% of those were main characters.

Here at Really Rather Wild we want to be part of the change in making sure that children throughout the UK have access to books which feature characters that look like them.

Children need books that are:

MIRRORS

That allow them to see themselves and their own experiences

WINDOWS

That they can look through to see other worlds that they can then compare to their own

SLIDING DOORS

That allow them to enter other worlds

Whether it's the stories that we publish, the books we recommend, the creatives that we work with or the causes and initiatives we champion, we aim to give a voice to all.
